Sizing and fit

This is a free-size set. The lehenga waist is adjustable and fits comfortably up to 42 inches. The blouse is stitched to a 38 inch bust with margin left inside to let out to 42 inches, so a tailor can open it in a few minutes if you need the extra room — worth doing before the first night rather than during it.

The lehenga length is 41 inches from waist to hem, which sits at the ankle on most heights between 5'2" and 5'6". If you are taller, wear it with a heel. If you need it shorter, take it up from the waist rather than the hem — the gotta patch petals run along the border and cutting into them would break the pattern.

Styling it

The blouse already carries five colours, so keep everything else quiet. Oxidised silver works better than kundan here — a single statement ring, stacked silver bangles and long jhumkas are enough, and they pick up the mirror and thread work without competing with it.

For garba, pin the dupatta at one shoulder and let the rest fall behind you, or tie it at the waist. Draping it across the front hides the blouse, which is the piece worth showing.

Care

Dry clean recommended. Chinon creases easily in storage, so hang the lehenga rather than folding it, and keep the dupatta folded flat with the gotta patch facing inward. Press only from the reverse, and keep the iron off the gold patch work and the Kodi lace directly.
